The Middle explores memory through Maggie, a Nova Scotian photographer in her mid-twenties whose perspective shifts when she moves to Toronto and falls in love. Through a split-screen, the film examines the moments in one’s life that are remembered together, revealing how intertwined memories shape our identity and propel us toward the future.
